Victorian Buddy

It is with great pleasure and relief that I report our darling Budlington has gallantly withstood the advances of scarlet fever. Upon hearing the diagnosis, smelling salts were used to revive me as I knew that Beth March succumbed to it and Mary Ingalls went blind from it. But I rallied, donned my bonnet, and procured a poultice to soothe the young master's humors. He is currently convalescing in his bed chamber, while I remain hopeful that consumption is not next.
