Hmm ... you make an interesting point

In the hat from Auntie Trisha

I didn't yet dare try him in the outfit - it's been an explosive morning.

High Waisted Fashion

Sheriff Buddy isn't a slave to fashion.

Buddy takes a load off

Drug Policy

Buddy's stance on drugs stems from personal tragedy as his brother has the 'nip monkey on his back.

Happy One Week Birthday, Buddy!

Saturday night we had barbecue then took photos to celebrate Buddy's one week birthday. It's been the best week ever.

Pancho's willing if he can get more people food out of the bargain.

Job Qualifications

Before running for sheriff, Buddy worked as a sharpshooter. No pictures of his precision or target distance are available. His father is still recovering from learning this.

Mounted Patrol

Just before taking off for his first dr's appointment. He passed - we get to keep him. No shots until next month.

Obviously, Sheriff Buddy works the graveyard shift

He likes the nightlife. He likes to boogie.
Either that or he prefers to patrol the streets at night when crime is its most active.

Thank You!

The flowers are just gorgeous! They're blue hydrangeas with white gerber diasies sprinkled on top. Thank you so much! You're too thoughtful as always.

Sheriff Buddy's Mobile Command Unit

We rigged this up thinking it would be easier to carry him around. And it is. He loves to be held - doesn't love being put down in the crib - and this gives him the best of both worlds if our arms get tired.
I'm going to have to get in the swing of napping during the day. I'm too excited to sleep now, but as he likes to nap during the day and party all night, my not keeping up isn't going to work for long.

burrito joe

He's sleeping as I write this - he's been out since I fed him at 1pm and it's 3:15 now. He slept next to me all through my call with dad and didn't bat an eye. I have hopes tonight he'll be a little less restless. Maybe this smaller bed feels more snug?

Tomorrow is his first doctor's appointment. I hope that doesn't mean shots, but suspect it might.

It's unseasonably warm here - mid 50s. Not that I'm greatful for global warming, but it's nice not having to take him out in frigid weather right now. Of course, he can easily be bundled up in the fantastic snow suit you sent!

more cuteness

Sheriff Buddy needs a campaign song. Any suggestions?

buddy's big sister, the fur tube

She's not entirely sure what's up, and is sticking very close.

John's been fantastic with changing him, rocking him when he cries, taking turns with me to make sure he's still breathing.

The 0-3 months clothes are huge on him! I completely overestimated. It's great to know he'll be wearing them for a while.

Sheriff Buddy would like to invite you to dinner.

Buddy joined us for dinner last night in the Great Vibrating Chair.

We broke down and gave him a bottle at 4am, and it worked out very well.

the day before everything changed

On Friday, two separate people asked if I was having twins. I sure felt that giant. And obviously I could no longer groom - since when do I part my hair in the middle?

He has impeccable timing, too. He let me work Friday, got down to business Saturday morning, and was ready to hang out on Saturday night.
